Assess the Impact of Stress

Neurologically based chiropractic serving Palatine, Rolling Meadows, Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, and Barrington

INSiGHT is a computerized, non-invasive, painless test consisting of heart rate variability, thermal, and surface electromyology (SEMG). It combines neurological scanning technology to detect hidden patterns of damaging stress, track changes, and observe improving trends.

These scans detect and pinpoint abnormal functions which cannot be seen on X-ray and are generally not felt in the form of pain until the damage is severe—much like a heart attack. The scans show any subluxation on your nervous system and how it affects your organs, glands, muscles, and energy levels.

Does the INSiGHT Millennium test hurt?

INSiGHT tests do not hurt. They do not utilize any needles, electric shock, or heat whatsoever. The patient just feels someone touching their spine. It only takes a few minutes to perform a scanning assessment. INSiGHT is designed to scan all ages, including infants.

Heart Rate Variability

Heart Rate Variability looks at the timing of your pulse and determines the balance and tension within your nervous system. Stressful lifestyles habits, including poor dietary choices, limited exercise, and constant emotional aggravation, can cause the body to be caught in the “fight-flight” response.

This can lead to exhaustion and a draining of a person’s reserves. Low heart rate variability is associated with accelerated aging and poor heart health. Published research has shown that chiropractic adjustments have a beneficial effect on heart rate variability.

Thermal Scan

The Thermal Scan is used to assess the autonomic nervous system—the part of the nervous system that you don’t have to think about. This part of your nervous system controls:

  • Heart rate
  • Breathing
  • Immunity
  • All organ functions
  • Hormonal balance
  • And much more

We do this by precisely measuring the differences in temperature along the spine. Studies at Johns Hopkins University show that the body temperature on the left and right sides of your spine should be the same. A difference in body temperature on the right or left sides of your spine indicates stress or blockage to your autonomic nerves.

Temperature is an accurate indicator of where stress is building up and how deeply it affects bodily functions. Each organ system relies on clear and balanced nerve signals to work efficiently. Nerve interference that is detected by this sensor is valuable in understanding and planning health and wellness strategies. The test enables us to determine what organs may be affected and the severity of the stress.

Muscle Balance

The Surface EMG exam evaluates the function of the muscles that support and move your spine. Over time, daily stress can continue to overwork these muscles, causing them to lose their support and mobility. Muscle fatigue and poor energy distribution are signs of a person’s entire health being under stress.

We can measure how much energy is needed to maintain your posture and how it is distributed throughout the muscles. If too much energy is used when a spine is out of balance, this test score will be lower than normal. As you regain control of the muscles and your spine releases tension, our readings of muscle activity will change.
